I'm a mother of four who enjoys tinkering on her computer. We're a blended Guamanian-Taiwanese-American family living in Taipei, Taiwan where we've received two more babies into the world.

This website will be entirely in English for use by the English-speaking community. There are quite a few Chinese-language websites available for parents and families, but this website is primarily for those of us who are unable to communicate well in Chinese and therefore, have a difficult time obtaining information.

This project is a community site with information that I think might be useful to expatriate and English-speaking families in Taiwan. Most of the information you'll find here is specific to Taipei, but whenever we can, we'll provide information about other cities and also direct you to other websites that you might find more useful.

We welcome Taiwanese parents to join us at our forums! Educate us about your local customs, foods, places of interest, and parenting wisdom!

This is a community project and labor of love. We do not sell advertising anywhere on this website. If you happen to see ads for local, mother-owned, woman-owned businesses, or family-run businesses, they are completely free, as my way of supporting parents in small business.

At the moment, I do all of the maintenance here, but also get lots of inspiration from friends who shares ideas, check links and pass on information. However, the dream has always been to have other parents participate in the way of product reviews, articles, poetry, and birth stories, as well as moderating discussions on the Family Forum and organizing outings and playgroups.
